Everything You’ve Ever Wanted is Sitting on the Opposite Side of Fear

Plus size boudoir photography

Hello Gorgeous,

I’m here to share one powerful truth with you: There is no reason to fear experiencing your very own boudoir experience. Is it normal to be nervous? Absolutely. It is normal to feel that you may not look good in your photos? Yes, yes it is. But, let me tell you, if you push through the nerves and doubts, an incredible experience transpires that will change you in the best possible ways.

RAISE YOUR HAND IF

You’ve ever had these thoughts when considering a boudoir experience:

  • I’m not sexy so I won’t look as good as the women I see in photos

  • I don’t know how to pose, so my photos probably won’t come out right

  • I’ll lose a few pounds and then I’ll check into booking a session

  • I don’t want intimate photos of me on the internet

LET ME HELP YOU GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD AND INTO THE STUDIO

Listen, I know all of the hesitations. As someone experienced in boudoir both in front of and behind the camera, I know every pain point there is. There was a time when I was not comfortable with my body. When I thought “celebrate yourself” was just some corny, cliché phrase that people through around for some self-serving purpose. There was no part of me that believed I could pull off a boudoir experience until I conquered my nerves, pushed through and did it. And, guess what? It changed me for the better in ways that I really can’t even describe, and it can do the same for you too. So here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • None of the women on my site are paid models. They are beautiful souls that took a leap of faith and trusted me to guide them on their journey. Put your faith in me and I’ll show you a side of yourself that makes you feel beautiful, sensual and amazing.

  • I guide you through posing and expressions. We’ll nail that super sexy boudoir look in no time.

  • You don’t need to lose a single pound before your session. You are beautiful as you are. With our beautiful natural lighting and flattering poses, we can almost guarantee that we will capture portraits that you will love.

  • The photos featured on my website are of women that have given their written consent for me to share them however, the majority of the women that visit the studio choose to keep their photos private. The choice is always yours and your wishes will always be respected.

HERE’S THE THING

We can ALWAYS find a reason why we shouldn’t do things that are outside of our comfort zone and feel a little scary. A boudoir photoshoot is a raw experience that requires a level of vulnerability that not many of us are comfortable living in on a daily basis. It can feel scary. It can feel overwhelming…But guess what? “Everything you’ve ever wanted is sitting on the other side of fear.” Think about it. To truly feel free, you need to push your boundaries. You need to step out of your comfort zone and face challenges head on. That opens the door to your growth, deeper levels of who you are and what you can achieve. What’s even better, it changes you in a way that makes you stand a bit taller, see yourself in a new light and become much more protective of the woman you are and the woman you are becoming.

I speak from experience

Latasha Davis-Ware, Owner and Lead Photographer, Latasha Nicole Boudoir

I speak from experience when I say, embracing a boudoir photography session can be one of those pivotal moments of self-reclamation and empowerment. The hesitation, the doubts, the 'maybes' and 'what ifs' that swirl around the decision to book a session are normal. But the transformation that awaits on the other side is immeasurable, as I discovered when I booked my very own experience. I am not thin. I am not the most gorgeous woman you’ll ever meet and I am no model. But I am someone that has felt how you may be feeling right now and I promise you, pushing through is so worth it!

tell me this

How much different would your life look if you decided to step into the frame, to own your beauty, your strength, and your story, regardless of those lingering insecurities? Imagine looking at a photograph of yourself and seeing not just the external beauty but the internal resilience, power, and grace that got you to where you are today. That's the transformative power of boudoir photography. It's not just about capturing your body; it's about celebrating your journey, your victories, and even the challenges you've faced.

HERE’S SOMETHING TO KEEP IN MIND

This experience offers more than just beautiful images to look back on; it provides a unique opportunity to confront your fears, to see yourself through an unfiltered lens of compassion and admiration. Many women report feeling a renewed sense of self-confidence and self-love after their photoshoot—an invaluable state of being that positively affects all areas of life, from personal relationships to professional endeavors.

Yes, it requires vulnerability. Yes, it can feel like a luxury. But ask yourself, what is gaining a deeper appreciation for yourself truly worth? The financial investment pales in comparison to the emotional and psychological rewards of such an empowering experience. The truth is, there will always be reasons to wait—waiting to lose weight, waiting for a better financial situation, waiting for the 'perfect' moment. But the perfect moment is now because you are already enough, just as you are.

TAKE A MOMENT TO THINK ABOUT IT

Every person has a story, a journey filled with ups and downs, laughter and tears, triumphs and challenges. Now, imagine encapsulating one of those pivotal chapters in a way that's both beautiful and timeless. This is where the magic of boudoir photography comes into play. It captures a part of your story that speaks to the resilience and courage it takes to embrace who you are. It's a celebration of your journey, a testament to the battles you've fought and won, and a reminder of the strength you carry within.

ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE YOU TO MISS L.

When I think about my favorite client story, Miss. L, immediately comes to mind. Miss L is a divorced mom of 4 who, after years of putting everyone else in her family first first, began to feel as if she’d lost touch with herself. She had a notebook where she kept track of all appointments for her kids (play dates, theater rehearsals, doctor’s appointments, etc.) and even important details for her husband. She was always on the go, doing for others and doing so happily. As a stay at home mom, she took pride in ensuring that her family ran like a well oiled machine. Pickups and drop offs ran like clock work and every single person in her family had everything they needed at all times, except her.

“One day, I was looking through my notebook. My daughter had an audition coming up and I just, for the life of me, couldn’t find the date on my calendar. I was flipping through the notebook like a mad woman just praying I didn’t drop the ball and forget to write it down. She was really looking forward to audition. It was going to be a play with several of her friends from school and I didn’t want to blow it for her. I really started to panic so my oldest daughter, who was 14 at the time, took a little pity on me and started to go through my book to help me look. She ended up finding the appointment but she also noticed that everything in the book was me helping everyone but myself. That’s when it became clear to me that my life had become all about taking care of my entire family and pushing my own needs to the side. I didn’t feel like I was neglecting myself. I was just caught up in a daily routine that I honestly felt proud of because I was making sure my family was taken care of.”

LIFE HAPPENS FAST

She continued that path for another year before making the decision to reclaim her life. After an extremely complicated divorce and facing personal challenges that tested her faith and her inner strength, she saw a boudoir session as an opportunity to close one chapter of her life and begin another with renewed focus and appreciation for herself, her strength and her confidence. As she settled into the hair and makeup chair, the stress from carrying the entire load of her family slowly began to melt away and the excitement of the experience began to sink in. She danced to her favorite music without fear of judgement. She enjoyed her favorite drinks and snacks as we transformed her look from her every day beauty to camera ready bombshell. This was what she needed. A day to just let her guard down, replenish her confidence and just feel free.

When we viewed her final images, happy tears rolled down her face. Having a visual representation of her true beauty, in a way that she had never seen before, was all the motivation that she needed to begin pouring more into herself. She learned that by ensuring her cup was full, she was actually able to give more to her family. She learned to love herself, to set her boundaries and prioritize her health and focus on doing the things that made her feel good. This is what makes boudoir such a deeply emotional and profoundly transformative experience. It changes you in so many positive ways. You can’t help but leave the studio loving yourself a bit more than you did before you arrived.

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE TO TELL YOUR STORY

Boudoir photography offers this unique opportunity to tell your story, to capture the essence of who you are at this moment, and to celebrate the journey that has shaped your life. It's an intimate reflection of who you truly are - not to other people, but to yourself. It's an emotional journey that is inspirational, reflective, deeply personal and a whole lot of fun!

I urge you not to wait for the perfect moment. Make the moment perfect. Take the leap and embrace the opportunity to see yourself in a new light, to celebrate the incredible woman you are today, and to embrace the woman you are becoming. Let this experience be a stepping stone to loving yourself more, protecting your energy, and standing tall in the beauty of your own skin. The time is now, and it’s yours to claim.
